Russian forces destroy Ukrainian ammunition depot, eliminate 5 reconnaissance teams
Russian forces destroyed a Ukrainian ammunition depot in the Kharkov Region, Russian Defense Ministry Spokesman Lieutenant General Igor Konashenkov said at a briefing on Saturday, Tass reports.
"An ammunition depot belonging to the 127th Territorial Defense Brigade was destroyed near the Izbitskoye settlement in the Kharkov Region," he noted.
According to Konashenkov, Russian tactical aircraft, missile and artillery forces hit 86 Ukrainian artillery units in firing positions, as well as troops and equipment in 92 areas.
On the other hand, Russia’s battlegroup "West" eliminated five Ukrainian reconnaissance groups on Kupyansk direction in 24 hours, battlegroup spokesman Sergey Zybinsky told.
"Servicemen of battlegroup ‘West’ exposed and eliminated five enemy reconnaissance and sabotage groups from 14th and 92th mechanized brigades and the 103rd territorial defense brigade," he said.
According to the spokesman, fire from Giatsint artillery thwarted rotation of Ukrainian forces at forward positions near the settlement of Dvurechnoye.
A reconnaissance team discovered an enemy mortar squad near the settlement of Gatische. A Grad multiple launch rocket system strike eliminated one mortar. An Uragan rocket system eliminated a Ukrainian D-20 howitzer at a distance of 25 kilometers.
