PM Hasina urges Swiss businesses to invest more in Bangladesh
Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Wednesday requested President of the Swiss Confederation Alain Berset to encourage his country's businesses to invest more in the Soth Asian country taking advantage of new opportunities.
PM Hasina made the request during her call on the Swiss president at the bilateral meeting room in Palais des Nations, reports UNB.
After the meeting Bangladesh Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen said, the trade and business between Bangladesh and Switzerland is good.
"Recently, we are doing good business with Switzerland. We are doing almost one billion dollars' worth of business. We are exporting goods to Switzerland, mainly RMG items," he said.
The Bangladesh premier urged Switzerland to continue LDC facilities to Bangladesh for additional three years after its graduation in 2026.
