Bangladesh sets $72bn export target for FY24

The Bangladesh government has fixed an annual goods and service export target of $72 billion for the current financial year (FY 2023-24), projecting an 11.59% year-on-year growth.
Commerce Minister of Bangladesh, Tipu Munshi announced the target at a press conference on Wednesday at his secretariat office in Dhaka.
Of the targeted amount, $62 billion has been fixed for merchandise shipment, up from $55.55 billion in the last fiscal year.
Export target for services for 2023-24 has been set at $10 billion, an increase of 11.11% from $9 billion in FY23.
