Ukraine has sold over $12bn of its gold reserves during the war
Ukraine's central bank has sold $12.4 billion of gold from its reserves since the beginning of Russian invasion which began on February 24_ the bank's deputy head said on Sunday.
In an interview with the country's national television Deputy Governor Kateryna Rozhkova told that the bank is selling the gold so that the Ukranian importers can buy necessary goods for the country.
She added_ the gold was not being sold to shore up Ukraine's hryvnia currency.
