Shahnaz Rahman Transcom s new chairman_ Simeen Rahman CEO

Shahnaz Rahman_ the wife of late Latifur Rahman_ the founding chairman of Transcom Group_ has become the group's new chairman and managing director while their daughter_ Simeen Rahman_ has been made its chief executive officer. Transcom Limited announced this decision on Sunday. According to the announcement_ the group s board of directors approved the decision following the death of Latifur Rahman who passed away on 1 July at the age of 75. Shahnaz Rahman_ who has been a director of the company for years_ would also hold the position of chairman of all of subsidiaries and companies of Transcom group. Shahnaz Rahman became the top taxpayer among women in the Dhaka city corporation in 2019. In 2017_ the National Board of Revenue honoured her family as tax icons in recognition of paying taxes records. Simeen Rahman_ also a director of Transcom Group_ will hold the position of CEO of Transcom. She is the managing director of Eskayef Pharmaceuticals Limited_ Transcom Distribution Company Limited and Transcom Consumer Product Limited. Daughter of Latifur Rahman and Shahnaz Rahman_ Simeen Rahman is an executive committee member of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Both of them will continue in their positions until they retire voluntarily_ says the announcement. One of the top business groups in Bangladesh_ Transcom_ has been carrying out business activities for more than 135 years. Currently_ it has over 18_000 employees.
